Part 2: Code of Conduct

All validation participants must agree to these terms before the report is submitted.

  1. Prepare for the validation as instructed.
  2. Be honest, respectful, and open-minded with the validation leader and each other.
  3. Contribute to equal airtime so everyone can share questions, ideas, concerns, or mistakes without interruption or fear.
  4. Share opinions openly, honestly, and respectfully with an intent to collaborate and agree on effective recommendations.
  5. Aim for consensus. If consensus is not reached, the validation leader will ensure all opinions and recommendations are recorded, then decide the most appropriate recommendation after the meeting.
  6. Respect copyright. The materials and templates used in the validation are commercial intellectual property and must not be distributed.
  7. Respect confidentiality. Do not share sensitive information about the assessment tool, student work, assessor practice, or other confidential matters outside the validation session.
  8. Follow standard etiquette for live online meetings, if applicable.
